Master Chess course

Emanuel Lasker was world chess champion for many years in the early 20th century. He wrote several chess books, including CommonSense in chess and Lasker's chess Manual.

In his chess manual, he claims that he could coach a novice to master level. He says that with 120 hours of systematic coaching plus a further 80 hours of play and analysis, the student could play at a level though no master could give him pawn odds without losing.

Lasker never had an opportunity to test his theory. I would like to test it myself.

The general standard of play has risen since Lasker's time. There is more opening, middlegame and endgame theory and knowledge. Masters today are much stronger. Average masters then may have been roughly equivalent to experts now (approximately 2000 ELO.)

I believe Lasker's theory is essentially correct. I am looking for an ambitious chess student to test the theory. You may be a novice or be relatively inexperienced.

I will provide 100 hours of high quality coaching at a heavily discounted rate. The coaching will be interesting and fun and provide all the information and help you the skills necessary to play chess at a high level of competence. the challenge will be to see how high a level of skill can be reached.

Sessions will be between 2 and 4 hours each. You will need to be highly motivated, positive and committed.

If you live in Melbourne, Australia and believe you might qualify please email me with details and what qualities you have that will help you reach chess master level.
