| Committee
of Management The Committee of Management is responsible for the overall management, monitoring of activities, strategic planning and policy development of the House. The committee, which is elected annually, is representative of members and the local community. Day to day operations are managed by staff who are employed the Management Committee. House Manager Driven by community development principles, the Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the organisation, resourcing and empowering members, and working to implement policy and plans developed by the Committee of Management. Manager: Lorna Stevenson
Program Co-ordinator Driven by a commitment to community development and lifelong learning principles, the Program Co-ordinator is responsible for the development, maintenance, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of programs. Responsible for producing program brochure and ensures distribution of promotional materials. Program Co-ordinator: Anne Blight
Finance Worker Responsible for planning, managing and administering the finances of Longbeach PLACE under the direction of the management committee and manager. Follows policy and procedures of the organisation in maintaining accurate and up to date financial records and ensures books are prepared for annual audit. Finance Worker: Trish Mumme
Information Technology Co-ordinator Administers operations of Longbeach PLACE Information Technology program. Ensures facilities and equipment are maintained, and that educational programs are developed and delivered in response to the needs of learners. Information Technology Co-ordinator: Jane Court
Program Administrator Assists in administering programs on a day to day basis. The primary focus is on maintaining accurate and up to date course/activity and student/participant records. Program Administrator: Jacqueline Ford
Child Care Co-ordinator Responsible for the development and implementation of a quality activity program, in a challenging fun environment, which meets the individual developmental needs of the children who are participating. Child Care Co-ordinator: Sue Graham
Child Care Worker Assists the co-ordinator in providing a quality child care program. Child Care Worker: David Raynor
House Volunteers The Longbeach PLACE volunteer program is a vital part of operations. The volunteers are a very important part of the organisational team. Without this assistance the organisation would not be able to function at such an efficient level. Regular training sessions are provided so that skills can be continually improved and upgraded. Volunteers positions include, receptionists, clerical assistants, child care assistants, group facilitators, trash & treasure market. Our thanks goes to all involved. |
