Conducted in conjunction with Chisholm Institute. (Certification provided by
Chisholm.) Pre-vocational training for child care work. Gain the basic
knowledge and skills needed to assist higher qualified staff in the care of pre-school
aged children. On completion of the Cert.II level, students will qualify to progress
directly into Certificate III or Diploma level programs.
Part time study, full year course.
Train Small Groups - BSZ404A
(previously Workplace Training Category 1)
This unit is being delivered along with the unit in Deliver Training Sessions (BSZ407A).
These two units from the nationally accredited course Certificate IV in Assessment
& Workplace Training. If you have a special talent or skill, and wish to teach adults
in community settings or the workplace, these units will quality you as a trainer of
individuals or small groups. Gain an understanding of how learning occurs and how to apply
that information in a variety of situations. (no cost to those enrolled in full
course)
Certificate
IV in Assessment and Workplace Training (BSZ40198)
Consisting of 8 units, this qualification is mandatory for those teaching
and/or assessing nationally accredited training. The certificate IV level provides
participants with the skills necessary to: plan, promote, deliver and review training
programes and sessions within their field of expertise.; to plan, conduct and review the
assessment of students in accredited courses, within a variety of settings. See our

Certificate I in Information Technology

Information Technology - Computer Applications)
This nationally recognised and certified course teaches students how to use a
personal computer and successfully operate software most commonly used in business and/or
the home. The full course consists of 6 units. To gain the full qualification
students should complete all units. By completing all units students will have the
equivalent qualification of the former Certificate II in Information Technology - Computer
Applications (2209ABC).
This course is being delivered by Longbeach PLACE Inc. in partnership with Chisholm
Institute. End of course certificates, or statement of attainment for units, will be
issued by Chisholm Institute. Students with a health care card in the family are
required to provide a copy of the card to qualify for the concessional rate for fees.
The units cover the fundamentals of personal
computer use: including Windows and file management; the use of internet and email; the MS
Office package in word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), database (Access) and
presentation packages (Powerpoint);
