Prior to Fire Awareness Week

School colouring competition for all primary school grades with certificates and prizes awarded to the winner in each grade to publicise the forthcoming Fire Awareness Week.


During Fire Awareness Week

Primary School lessons and activities for all grades with the use of "Brigades in Schools".  School participation with the displaying of CFA promotional material, as well as other information in the School. Other CFA information displayed in town area, as well as information in the Brigades quarterly community newsletter to coincide with Fire Awareness Week.

Follow up to Fire Awareness Week
Brigades participation in School Fete, held in November.  With practical follow up Fire Safety activities for children to teach children to stop, drop and roll and to crawl low in smoke.
