Glenrowan Fire Brigade is classed as a category 3 brigade . All members must have successfully completed a recruit firefighter course , or have satisfied the Captain that they have experience and knowledge at least equivalent to the course and that they are able to demonstrate the ability to operate the pumps and equipment correctly . The C.F.A. requirement for members' training is four sessions per year . Our brigade holds combined training for men & women on every Sunday morning from 9.30 to 12.00 and also on Wednesday evenings from 7.00 to 9.00 . Training is conducted on the following ...... Pump operations ..., ERS operations Deltec alarms ..., Watchroom procedures..., Fire & incident reports Safety of tanker crews..., Structural fire attack...,Grass & bushfire attack and behaviour..., Radio procedure..., Hazardous material response ...,Breathing apparatus usage..., Foam& foam making..., Driver training (both 2 & 4 wheel drive) ...,Flammable liquid & Gas fires ...,Railway and freeway incidents..., Our brigade also assists other brigades outside out area and trains to assist in .. High Voltage Electricity Distribution centre fires , Wineries and associated buildings , Drage AirWorld and Museum , Wangaratta Airport and terminal , A.D.I. - ammunition manufacturing plant, Monsbent - Chipboard & Timber mil
