LATEST NEWS

I apologise for the tardiness in updating the news. It does seem to have slipped my
memory.

The Cobras wish the Sholsy brothers, Jason and David, all the best with their adventure of
playing a season in England. The Shols boys are playing with Norwich Cricket Club.

Norwich C.C. have a web site at http://www.norwichcc.co.uk/

LIFE MEMBERSHIP

Peter Kearns was awarded a Life Membership of the Churchill Cricket Club at our
Presentation Dinner in March.

PK is the 10th Life Member of our club.

The Life Membership is recognition of Peter's remarkable playing achievements (that he can play
at all with his injuries is remarkable in itself!) and his recent work as a member of the
Committee.

Congratulations Peter!

SEASON REVIEW

The 2001/2002 season finished in dramatic fashion in March. In a replay of the
previous season's Grand Final, the Cobras faced up to the Morwell Tigers Yinnar
Raiders in the season finale. Unfortunately, poor batting on day 1 saw the Cobras
poorly placed. A stunning fight back on day 2 almost saw us snatch the prize,
however Raiders held on to claim back to back A grade premierships.

B and C Grade completed their seasons with disappointing semi final losses.
