• When you are not sure of your rights and responsibilities we can provide you with relevant consumer and tenancy information.

Advice:

• When you cannot settle a problem yourself we can explain your rights, provide you with available options and recommend actions to take so YOU can make informed choices to try and resolve your problem. We will NOT make decisions for you.

Conciliation:

• If you have tried everything, we can act as go betweens, helping you negotiate with the other party, trying to find a solution.

Tribunal Support

• If a solution cannot be found you can apply to Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal

  - Domestic Building List

  - Credit List

  And we will help you prepare for the Tribunal hearing.

  In some instances we can attend the Tribunal as a support worker to help you present your case. The Tribunal can make an order which is enforceable by the courts.

Notices and Forms:

• We can provide most of the necessary notices and application forms required by the Residential Tenancies Act and the Victorian Civil& Administrative Tribunal.

Referals:

• If we are unable to assist we will refer you to appropriate experts such as financial counsellors, professionals, other community services or goverment departments.
