CAS Exhibitions


Currently, CAS Inc promotes the art of its Members and the wider Australian contemporary art community in the following exhibitions...

The Annual Exhibition (members only)

This exhibition is a major platform for members of CAS to publically show their works. Artworks are on display for several weeks at centrally-located venues in Melbourne to maximise viewer-exposure. Entries are judged by a well-known person in the arts field, and winning entries receive prizes from CAS/sponsors on the opening night.

Library Exhibition spaces (members only)

Currently the Society has two exhibition spaces, one at the Richmond Library (at 415 Church Street Richmond) and at the Fitzroy Library (at the Historic Fitzroy Town Hall 128 Moor Street Fitzroy). These spaces is free for use by members on application, with selection by ballot.

Open Exhibitions (open to all artists)

The Collectors' Exhibition is currently held in March at Steps Gallery, Cartlon, Melbourne (see page on this site about this exhibition).

Art at Burnley Harbour (open to all artists)

Art at Burnley Harbour exhibitions is a unique outdoor undercover art show on the banks of the Yarra River, Burnley, Melbourne. Currently it is held in December (see page on this site about this exhibition)

Morewood Furniture (members only)

displays of artworks by members - in a showroom of fine contemporary furniture at MoorWood Furniture, 226 Johnston St, Fitzroy, Melbourne.
