ARTIST STATEMENT

The terrible Tsunami has inspired me to paint these two paintings.

In 'Tsunami Rage' calmness of the seashells opposite the rage in seawaves, show the beginning of the tragedy.

In the 'Victims of Tsunami" a victim emerges with the creatures of the deep sea, and the hand is lifted in the last effort to get the help.

The Contemporary Art Society of Victoria (Inc.) is a non-profit organisation, run on a voluntary basis by artists, for artists, and the Society has a long history of supporting and fostering artists - particularly emerging artists and those from regional Australia.
