Artist's Statement

My approach to any of my art works is to offer images to be experienced now, but also to allow a lot to be realised later.

My recent pieces have all been required to reflect the current era, and myself in it. The new millennium. The dramas on the world stage. The new roles for men and for women. Some of the questions and confusions.

I'm interested in what changes can occur in and around humans and what never changes eg. unexpected and violent death; grief, the capacity, for regeneration, hope: issues which are very much in our sights right now, but have never been absent in human history.

The Contemporary Art Society of Victoria (Inc.) is a non-profit organisation, run on a voluntary basis by artists, for artists, and the Society has a long history of supporting and fostering artists - particularly emerging artists and those from regional Australia.
