WORKS
United in Action.
Bronze on Granite.
This sculpture is part of a series
inspired by Gymnasts and Circus performers. It is their ability to
show action in a rhythmic, balanced and energetic manner that I find
captures the spirit of the moment.
These figures are meant to be
asexual, because their united movement is the unifying force that I
have set out to capture.
Octopus.
Watercolour, ink and coloured pencil.
The octopus is part of a series in
which I explored life under the sea. Having snorkeled from a coral
atoll off the Queensland coast, along a part of the Great Barrier
reef; the vibrancy of colours, shapes and sizes of this unique
environment left special memories that I have endeavored to capture
in my own personal way.
The
Contemporary Art Society of Victoria (Inc.) is a non-profit
organisation, run on a voluntary basis by artists, for artists, and
the Society has a long history of supporting and fostering artists -
particularly emerging artists and those from regional
Australia.
