Art at Burnley Harbour 2005
|
|

After the success of the inaugural 'Art at Burnley Harbour' in 2004, which received high attendances (over 2000 people) and sales from the public, we presented our second 'Art at Burnley Harbour' outdoor (undercover) art exhibition on Saturday 3th December (9am to 8pm) & Sunday the 4th (8am to 6pm). This exhibition showcased works by established and emerging artists and offered participating artists the opportunity to present both traditional and contemporary artforms. The setting of our exhibition, on the banks of the Yarra River in the Burnley Harbour precinct, is unique.
The show was a great sucess with 480 artworks by 150 artists on show, and 100's of visitors with good sales! We will post some pictures of the exhibition on our NEW website soon.
Where is Burnley Harbour?
The Burnley Harbour precinct is in Richmond only a few minutes walk from Church Street and consists of McConchie Reserve, the former Richmond Bluestone Quarry (now a wetland), the Monash Freeway reserve, and the Burnley Harbour, managed by Parks Victoria. The exhibition will be held in the undercover area fronting the Yarra river. Accessible by either the pedestrian underpass at the end of Mary Street, or take the stairs on the Church Street bridge, and follow the bike path, a few minutes walk.
