This ornamental
shrub was found growing near its parent bush but has its own distinct
characteristics.
The sprawling evergreen shrub 1.5-2m with a similar spread.
Leaves are dark green fern-like with a silky underside.
Arching stems,
at intervals throughout the year, hold racemes of crimson
‘spidery’ flowers with the familiar extended curved style.
Propagation only by cuttings.
Birds are very attracted to the flowers.
Named `Robyn Gordon’ in memory of
a member of
the Gordon
family who died at the age of 16.
