Native to Western Australia.
Very popular open spreading specimen shrub which can become woody
with age if not pruned regularly after flowering to the last years growth.
Very useful as a long lasting cut flower.
Leaves light green linear, narrow and open, hooked at end.
Stems of the new growth are tinted pink or red with
the deeper shade shade indicating deeper flower colour.
Flowers are five petalled growing in loose sprays. Flowers of
individual plants can be white, pink, red or purple.
Propagation from tip cuttings and seed.
Requires good drainage and open sunny position, will tolerate coastal locations
and sandy soils.
