A native of NSW and Queensland this evergreen tree can grow to a height of
5m with a spread of 3m.
The trunk is erect with papery bark. The
leaves are willow like, lanceolate with a prominent midrib.
The flowers
are creamy white, resembling bottle brushes, around 3cm long, and appear in
spring followed by woody capsules containing numerous fine seeds.
The beautiful bright pink tips of the new growth make this an eye catching
native plant which would enhance any garden and attract native birds.
