Distribution eastern Australia - Victoria, New South Wales Queensland and Tasmania
Small prickly shrub or small tree to 5m.
Phyllodes green to dark green in whorls around stem, needle-like or flattened.
Pale or bright yellow flowers in short spikes in winter/spring.
Pods are flat often straight 2 - 7cm.
Propagation - scarified seed.
Likes a well drained soil, good hedge plant which can be pruned.
Great habitat plant for small birds.
