How sessions worked
Training sessions were really a combination of peer support and information sharing, and new skills acquisition. The teachers usually talked for the first half of each session about what they had been doing, problems and ideas, and sharing ovservations about what was happening.

These were mostly held in a coffee shop away from the distractions of the workplace and the computer lab. They were a good time for developing a sense of mutual support within the group, and were the place where a lot of concerns and issues were discussed, and sometimes resolved.

The hands-on part of the training mostly took place at Carlton Contact in the small computer lab. This was the teaching space for two of the teachers too, so it provided a good opportunity for some real trouble-shooting and test-driving of ideas to be tried in the classroom.
