Have you ever felt the earth move?

A few years ago, I was sitting down at the table drinking beer, feeling tipsy. The table started to shake for a few seconds and I was so tipsy I thought I had kicked the table! I did not know an earthquake happened at the time, so I must have been very tipsy.

What can you do to help the victims of an earthquake or a volcano?

Some people raise money for victims by having a concert. They raise funds through ticket sales and selling the television rights. The money is used for food and water. Other people join relief agencies like Red Cross. They help to find missing families. Donations of money and clothes are also useful.

What can you do to help the victims of an earthquake or a volcano?

There are a few things one can do about helping the victims. One is joining the Red Cross as a volunteer.
I would donate some money or clothes, maybe some food if it is asked for.
If the earthquake is close where one can give a hand personally, I would for sure be there to try to help in some way with the rescue. I would try to get some information from the authorities what best can be done.

How does a volcano occur?

Volcanoes occur when hot, runny rock, called magma rises to the earth's surface and explodes. When the liquid rock reaches the surface it is called lava. Lava runs down the side of the volcano, burning everything in its path. Most volcanoes occur near the edges of plates. The islands in Hawaii were made by volcanoes. Hawaii is over a hot spot.

How does a volcano occur?

A volcano begins as melted rock inside the earth. At certain the heat is so great it partly melts the rock. When the rock melts, it produces gas, which mixes with the magma. It gradually rises towards the earth's surface because it is lighter than the solid rock around it.

Should people be allowed to live near volcanoes?

People should be allowed to live near volcanoes so they can survive by growing better plants. The soil is good. The risk is the volcano might erupt and spread hot lava. Even though there are risks, they need the space.

Should people be allowed to live near volcanoes?

It is bloody stupid for people to live near volcanoes. It would be hard to survive. Volcanoes erupt with great force. They are very noisy. Gases and steam shoot out of the volcano and poison animals and people. Lava burns everything in its path, and can even bury towns.
