On Tuesday the 15 th of August the school joined with members of the local community to tidy up the school grounds, and share lunch. People from University High School, Melbourne University, North Yarra Community Health Centre, the Church of All Nations, and others in our community came together with the grade 5/6 class and some parents to make a big difference to the school grounds. The children were very enthusiastic and worked hard, they also had a chance to play with some of the older children from University High School. At recess the younger children come to have a look at what was happening, and to help by spreading some mulch to protect the new plants. By the end of the day we had 200 new plants planted, we had pruned and mulched, weeds were pulled, grass was mown – it was a very productive, and fun, day!
