- Our aim is to transform an overgrown weed-filled patch into an indigenous
area to complement the remnant bushland of Abbey Walk.
Location: Near footbridge over, plus the gravel path adjacent to
the Dandenong Creek.
Effie -
Ephemeral wetlands - a joint venture between
Whitehorse City Council, Parks Victoria & Melbourne Water plus the Campbells Croft
Abbey Walk Advisory Committee & Friends-of group.
The project was to remove two enormous willows and revegetate the area
with indigenous species, this took 2 years to complete and a further 2
years for the indigenous planting to become established.
Location: Far end of Abbey Walk near the Croft and adjacent to the gravel Dandenong
Creek path.
WILLIE -

Whitehorse City Council, Melbourne Water & Campbells Croft

The project is to remove willows plus environmental weeds and revegetate the area
with indigenous species..
Location: Near Effie in Abbey Walk and adjacent to the gravel Dandenong
Creek path.
Paddy -
Padua Court Swathe - stages have been joint ventures between
Urban Bushcare, National Heritage Trust, Greening Australia Vic & Whitehorse City
Council plus Campbells Croft Abbey Walk Advisory Committee &
Friends-of group.
Location: Entry from Padua Court.
Borrie -
Boronia Road ephemeral wetlands
project between Whitehorse City Council & Melbourne Water.
CCAW Committee & Friends-of group do not have working bees in this
area, it is managed and maintained by Council.
