Parents
have an important role to play at Bentleigh West
Kindergarten.
Parents are welcome to attend the kindergarten at
any time - either as an observer or active participant.
Being involved at kinder means that you are able to
spend time with your child in their own special place. This
time together enables you to understand what your child is learning and
to share the enjoyment of kinder with all children.
Parents are
actively involved in their child's educational experience
through viewing their child's Portfolio, sharing learning
stories and attending parent-teacher interviews. Attending
kinder sessions is also a great opportunity to have an
informal chat with your child's teacher.
Bentleigh
West Kindergarten has a strong sense of community, with
families coming together for social events, working bees,
excursions, and impromptu chats at the playground outside. We
have a wonderful tradition of parents lending their support
and sharing their expertise at kinder.
As a community-run kindergarten, parents are actively involved
in the kindergarten through the Committee of Management. Any parent who has a child enrolled at Bentleigh West Kindergarten is
entitled to nominate for a position on the Committee of
Management. Being part of a committee enables you to be more involved in your child's kinder year and
gives you direct input into decisions being made.
Come along and be part of the rewarding experience that has been a
Bentleigh West Kindergarten tradition!
