Annual General Meeting

Burwood Cricket Club will be holding our Annual General Meeting on Friday 24th April 2009 at the clubrooms at 7:30pm. Here is your chance to have your say and have an input in the future direction of the club. As all committee positions will be made vacant, we require new blood to step up and take a leading role in the management of BCC.
So please keep this evening free and we will see as many of you there as possible.
Drinks will be available at the conclusion of the meeting.

Milo In2 Cricket Co-Ordinator Required

The Burwood Cricket Club is seeking a new co-ordinator for the Milo In2 Cricket Program for next season.
We have been extremely lucky to have Cheryl Di Florio running our program at Burwood Reserve for the last 5 years which has seen numbers increase from 30 to 95 participants this year!
Cheryl has decided to move onto the next chapter in her family's life and the position is now open and we are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person(s) to take over the well run program.
If you think this position is for you, then please e-mail our club President Steve Kish to organise a meeting and a run through of the program and objectives that we teach at Burwood Reserve.
You will not be alone in the running of the program as Senior Players and Parents play a huge part in the program. There is plenty of administration work, collection of monies, dispatching of junior cricket equipment & setting up/packing up on the day.
We need your help, can you help us?

Senior & Junior Training

Senior training nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 5pm (6pm when daylight savings is in).

Tuesday night sessions are for specific coaching requierments for the players. A variety of training drills are organised to help teach and refine each players skills in batting, bowling and fielding.

Thursday nights are purely batting, bowling, catching and fielding sessions. Players will be set up into groups and rotate around to each drill in preparation for the weekends matches.

Juniors training nights are Tuesdays for the under 14's and under 16's and all other teams on Wednesdays starting at 4:30pm.
The junior coach who overseas all junior teams will assist with the individual team managers in structuring the sessions to teach and help the young Tiger Cubs the skills of the game.
