Welcome To The Bunarong Bushwalking Club

The Bunarong Bushwalking Club provides its members and visitors with quality outdoor activities mostly involving walking. We encourage friendship and fitness while enjoying our program of events. We also encourage a wider appreciation of nature and preservation of our environment.


Club Meetings

Visitors are always welcome to attend our monthly meetings, where we review past events and discuss future ones.
Club meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month, starting at 8.00pm.

CLUBROOMS are at the St Aidans Church Hall, 5 Poulson St (corner of McLeod Rd), Carrum.

Walk Grades

As you can see below our walks are graded for your reference and convenience, however this grading is only an indication as to the degree of difficulty.


Walk Grading Table

Grade

Means

Description

F

Family

On formed tracks, even to gently undulating, up to 10Kms.

E

Easy Adult

Gently undulating terrain, mild short climbs, formed tracks, up to 14 Km.

M

Medium Adult

Mostly on tracks, some climbs and descents, possible small scrambles, 12-18 Km.

H

Hard Adult

Consistent walking, scrub/forest walking on and off tracks, moderate to difficult climbs and descents, 14 Km plus.

EX

Experienced Adult

Hard consistent walking in difficult terrain, special knowledge of bushwalking required.
