COMING UP IN BRUTHEN
Bruthen Arts & Events Council Inc. proudly presents:
A one act play by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton
At the Bruthen
Mechanics Hall Tuesday
2nd July, 8pm
Friends. You love ‘em but sometimes you just can’t understand ‘em. Especially when they do something completely different and unexpected ... something that makes you wonder how they ever became your friends in the first place. Serge has bought a modern painting for a huge sum of money. His best friend, Marc, hates it. Marc can’t believe that any friend of his could possibly want such a thing. Enter Yvan – the mutual friend, the go-between, the meat in the sandwich. The question is: Are you who you think you are? Or are you who your friends think you are?
A comedy by Yazmina Reza, ART is a touring one act play, produced by Blue Cow Theatre Company from Hobart. The show has been a hit in the West End, Broadway and all around the world. ART is 'a remarkably wise, witty and intelligent comedy ... ART has touched a universal nerve.' The Times.
We are pleased to present this clever comedy here in Bruthen. It might seem like an odd time to put on a show, on a Tuesday night in the middle of winter, but what better time to warm up with a good laugh? The Bruthen Mechanics Hall is fully heated. Cafe table seating, BYO drinks and refreshments.
