Introduction to Little Athletics Day  Sat 20th Sept - We decided to open the new season with a special program that will help new athletes and parents learn how things run on a normal Saturday morning at Dendy Park.   Come along ready for action at 9am.  We will start with a warm-up and should have time for a few different events (with coaching where possible) before pack-up time.

Calling Our Experienced Little Aths Parents - We need your help to run our Introduction Day on Sat 20th Sept.  Your job will be to help the parents of our new members to learn to enjoy helping on Saturday mornings as much as you do!  If you are available, it would be great if you could come along.  Your children are also welcome to participate in the program of events; they will be a big help to the new athletes too!

Coaching Courses for Parents There are lots of great courses scheduled throughout September and October for parents who wish to get involved as a coach.  These courses are funded by the centre and all we ask in return is that you help with the coaching duties at Brighton for two seasons.   Click the links above for details and registrations forms.

Junior Development Squad (JDS)  Our U12-U15 athletes should check via the link below whether they have qualified to join the JDS program for season 2008/2009.  JDS offers extra coaching days for athletes who have met the qualifying standards.  The first extra coaching day for this season is being held on Sunday 12th October at Knox (click for all the JDS details).

Midweek Coaching Sessions After daylight-savings begins, we will be holding coaching sessions on one night (probably Thursday) each week before Christmas.  Details will be provided soon so keep an eye on our Coaching page.

Open Days at other centres Keep an eye on the VLAA Calendar for details and entry forms for the Open Days scheduled around Victoria.  Open Days are a great chance to meet and compete against athletes from other centres. They are held regularly throughout the season and are open to all registered little athletes.

What is 63 Seconds? Apart from being a great time for the 400 metres, it is the name of our Brighton Little Athletics Newsletter and the idea is that it will only take about 63 seconds for you to read it!  You will be emailed a link periodically during the season and the newsletter will contain all the important details that you need to know.  We hope you find it helpful!
