Full Results Rather than
showing just the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placings on our
Weekly Results page each week, from now on the full results
will be available for all age groups and events. We hope
you like this enhancement and appreciate your feedback and ideas
that improve our website.
Remember 8:45am start this week and bring that gold 'Change for
Kids'!
Under 11 Skills Coaching Clinic
Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th January - The Association is running a
Skills Clinic for Under 11 athletes over 2 days, with Saturday
at Waverley (10am-5pm) and Sunday at Knox (10am-3pm). The
Clinic will cover all events and is free.

Region Track & Field and State Multi-Event Championships
(U9-U15 athletes) - We are now taking entries for these
Championships, which are in February & March. Track &
Field includes all the events we do at Brighton and Multi-Event
is a 5-event program (100m, Hurdles, 800m, Long Jump & Discus).
Click for details and entry forms.
Entries close on 15th December.
Primary Schools Nationals Two of our athletes head over to
Launceston on Thursday to compete in the SSA Track & Field
Exchange. Cameron Menzies and Ian Palackic
(who both won Gold medals at State level) will represent
Victoria in the Discus and Shot Put events. We wish them
the best of luck and will let you know how they go...
Coaching Sessions at Dendy
Park There have been some recent changes to the times and
days and these are now up-to-date on our
Coaching page.
Bayside Carols in the Park Tuesday 11th December -
as is traditional this big event is again at Dendy Park
(7:30-9:30pm) and we will open our Canteen for refreshments. If
you are available to help, please let
Yvonne or Sarah at the Canteen know on Saturday.
(NB: Coaching will be moved to
Thursday on that week).
Children's
Hospital Fund Raiser
This Saturday we are running our 'Gold Coin Lap' as our
contribution to Little Athletics traditional fund raising for
the Children's Hospital, now called 'Change for Kids'. We would
like all athletes and adults to take part and contribute to this
worthy cause. As our President, Alan Wilkes announced last
Saturday, please arrive by 8:45am so we can do the lap and then
go straight into the program.
Javelin Update Following
detailed and positive discussions with Bayside Council, Javelin
has returned to its traditional home with some changes to the
way we identify the area throwing area. To enable Judy
Pfanner to provide the necessary coaching in this event, we need
more adults to assist in organising and supervising the
athletes. |
