This book of over 260 pages tells the history of the Bendigo Council/Councillors/Town Clerks and Mayors plus a background history of early Bendigo, the Town Hall, Mayoral Chain, Coats of Arms etc. Photographs of all the Mayors from 1865 to 2001 are included with a story of their life and times. Many early photographs of Bendigo have been hidden for decades in Council archives, some are from private collections.
