No 30. Mark Fraser

Height: 183cm Weight: 78kg
Date of Birth: 4/2/71 First Played: 1992
Recruited From: Collingwood Games (Total): 58
Goals (Total): 27 Wing

In 1995 Mark Fraser made the move that many thought should have occured many years ago, in fact most thought he should have started his career with the Dons. This is because of the Essendon connection with his father, Ken Fraser, who played 198 games for the red and black. When he finally made the move to Windy Hill some supporters may have cringed at the thought of an ex-Collingwood player playing for the Bombers, but thankfully he was welcomed with open arms. It was really the recruiting coup of the year for the Dons (apart from picking up Lloyd in the U16 draft) because Mark was playing some very good football on the wing for Collingwood when he left. Some people argue he is the quickest player in the competition. He has shown flair on the wing for us, and only some injury problems have kept him out of the senior side on a regular basis.
