Since coming from Richmond, Barry Young has given Essendon some handy goals on the forward line. Some say that his kicking lets him down, but in many games that I've seen him play for the Bombers he has kicked well for goal. After a good 1994, 1995 was his best year for the Dons, gaining quite regular selection in the seniors, and providing the option that Sheedy needs around the ground (including a great game he played at centre half back in the qualifying final vs. West Coast). This year injury and inconsistent form has kept him from a regular senior spot, but once these are overcome he will once again provide that extra option that the Bombers need.
