Darren 'Doc' Wheildon had a turbulent career with Fitzroy, and then last year decided to play over in Adelaide to regain some form. Apparently he had worked very hard and this impressed the Essendon recruiting staff so they decided to give him another chance at playing AFL footy again. He is a proven goal scorer, but unfortunately he was involved in a car accident that broke his legs and has sidelined him indefinitely. This is bad luck as he seemed enthusiastic about a comeback to league football.
