"Boris" (yes, some people think he looks like Boris Becker) is the ultimate goal-sneak. The number of times he has burst out of a pack at full pace and kicked a goal; or grabbed the ball on the boundary and snapped it through are too numerous to mention. The best thing about his game is that he can be played in the centre or on the ball if necessary, and when he does you can almost guarantee some quick turn-overs or breaks out of the middle, invariably resulting in goals. But like so many others in 1995, he fell victim to the horror injury of football - the knee. It sidelined him for most of the year. But who could forget his return this year - nine goals against Geelong in the centenary re-enactment match - and also his 150th game. He has represented Western Australia in every year the have played from 1990 to 1994. He was best first year player in 1988 when he came from Perth, and we can be thankful that he didn't want to return home to play with the Eagles or the Dockers. He was also runner-up in the Best and Fairest in 1991.
