David came across from SA in 1989, and has been one of the reliable players at Essendon. He played the whole season in 1990 (barring 2 weeks suspension), but since then and up until now, hadn't been able to secure a regular place in the side. This year, however, he played nearly every game, and provides Sheedy with another option for the backline or even across the centre. He represented South Australia in 1993, and was selected in the squad this year.
