Scott Cummings had one of the most impressive debuts in 1994 - he kicked 8 goals at full-foward. Now where's he playing? Centre half back? It seems the versatility scheme at Essendon can really be seen in Scott's game. He had played magnificently in the reserves throughout 1994, and it seemed inevitable that he be called up to play in the seniors. When he did, he didn't disappoint anyone. He kicked 8 goals and showed off his marking and goal kicking strengths. But now, it seems, Sheedy would prefer him to play on the half-back line. His build suggests he would make a tremendous centre-half back, and with Mark Harvey not getting any younger, we will soon need a full-time replacement for that position. In whatever position he plays, we know that he will adapt and thrive.
