The VBG is dedicated to promoting the understanding of bookbinding knowledge within the community and to assist in the further development of the profession.

Our mission is to maintain and foster the art, craft and practice of bookbinding, both contemporary and historical, so that traditional techniques will be preserved as a basis of knowledge for the ongoing development of the book, and provide an understanding of book structure through time.

The VBG welcomes every-one with an interest in bookbinding in its many forms.
