The Bone
Marrow Transplantation
Scientists' Association of Australasia is an international professional
association that promotes advancement of the field of blood and bone
marrow
transplantation in Australia and New Zealand. BMTSAA members are both
in
clinical practice and in research.
The BMTSAA is an organisation that provides Australasian BMT professionals with a focus group for their clinical and research interests. Members of the BMTSAA have been actively involved in the formulation of guidelines for the enumeration, collection, processing, manipulation, storage and administration of haemopoietic stem and progenitor cells since 1994. The Association provides a network of technical support for scientists across Australian continent and across the Tasman and links are being formed with international centres. A scientific meeting is conducted annually in association the annual meetings of the Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand. Communication is facilitated through a newsletter which is published thrice yearly and the Open Forum eMailing List. |
