A GIFT
Congratulations! Yes - you!
Don't look around, it's for you
One of a kind, never seen before.
Can't win it in a raffle
Can't buy it in a shop
Friends can't give it to you
Never thought it would happen to you!! Right?
WRONG!
A gift, Yes a gift.
Now you know -
A day, one free glorious day.
It's yours, all the way
Grab it with both hands.
Hold it, cherish it, value it.
Slip inside it, touch it, live it.
One tree-smelling, children-voiced
Hugging loving day.
Right when you were least expecting it
Look out the window - go on!
Go over and look, open the curtains.
See that beautiful sun? Well it's yours.
Of course it's yours.
Wake up.
Who do you think this poem is for?
It's a fear/hassle/worry -free day.
Money problems have gone
Children's struggles gone
Partner's stress - Zap! Gone! Kaput!
Walk with your heart pumping
Lungs thumping, ears pricked
Nose to the scent, eyes bright and clear,
Mind at peace.
Take it - Go on, take it.
Let it happen, just let it all go
You can do it - There it all goes.
Don't take it back.
Let it float away
Feel the difference - Hold yourself down
You're much lighter with all that gone.
Just for today, remember
As you give to the world
So freely
So the world will give
To you
