In a box I AM MORE, Too much more To be contained In a box. Why can’t he see That I AM MORE? My spirit needs to soar. I AM MORE. He only wants the part In the box. (the part that serves - that soothes his nerves). But I AM MORE. I AM MORE. I AM MORE. When he took me for his bride I tried to hide my needs inside For his pride. My mistake. We took a break, But for whose sake? Now that I’m free, I can see That it was not just me In a box. HE IS MORE. Too much more To be contained In a box. Why can’t he see that HE IS MORE? His spirit needs to soar. HE IS MORE. He feels secure Only in the box. (the place that serves - that soothes his nerves) But HE IS MORE. HE IS MORE. HE IS MORE. ---(Patricia Fiske)--- Reprinted from her chapbook "Late Bloomer"Return to "The Stick Trick" Index Page
