Walking back from St. Kilda on a full moon night
Along the Middle Park tram route
I hit upon an idea
That the name "Dar Es Salaam" would be a good one to use
To focus mantras on the nadi
That runs around the neck
Out comes my notebook
And just as I am in the process
Of noting it down
The street light
Under which
I am standing
Goes out.
Not a whole row of them
Not a whole street of them
(Not that these wouldn't also have been mind boggling)
Just one
The one I am standing under
And no other
Leaving me to ponder
On my way to the next street light
The possible meaning
Of this "coincidence"
