Ceaseless motion
Ceaseless excitement

It's all happening
At the Alexandra Gardens
During Moomba

Crowds and crowds
They come and go

I am continually
Having to get out of someone's way

Enough! screams my brain
And I head off for the parkland
Further away from the city
Further down St. Kilda Road

I cross the street
And somehow make it
Bombed out and over-powered
To the cool gardens

Where darkness breaths
Midst spongy trees
Fading into velvet
Dew-lined sky
