When you enter
The Melbourne centre
Of the Theosophical Society
In Russell Street
On a mat in the foyer
Are scattered, or rather, embedded,
A whole lot of little shiny specks
And you can spend
Quite a long time
Swaying slowly from side to side
And letting the light
From the lamp on the ceiling
Reflect alternately
Off the different areas
Of its silver-speckled surface.
