After spending an afternoon
In the presence of Master Charles
A friend and I were having a light meal.
Of course,
He said,
What I'd really like
Is to relocate to some tropical island paradise
Grow and gather all my own food
Beautiful fresh ozone-rich sea air
Lots of lovely oxygen to breath
Perhaps people could come and stay
A few days or weeks
And rejuvenate.
Very lovely, I responded,
Just so long as you don't get hit
By the next Cyclone Sam
Or washed away by some Typhoon Tim.
O that can't happen,
He blithely replied,
My positivity would prevent it happening.
It's only our negative thinking
That builds up and up
Until nature manifests our negativity
In the form of a disaster.
I would be all positive
And since I was the only one on the island
The island would be spared.
I left it at that.
