Lady Castrata Vagina Dentata comes from 2048, or 23 AP (After Patriarchy) where she is known as Anona. During the Feminist Firewall years (2010-2025), Anona was conceived from the recovery of natural parthenogenesis by ferocious radicalesbian feminists. In ordinary life, she doesn't have green skin, or three long fangs. However, during her time travel through what Mary Daly has named The Spiral Galaxy, she was sent into an expo organised by the sex industry lobby in Australia called Sexpo. As she began to spin back out into the Spiral, her face twisted and turned and grew in many unexpected ways. When she emerged from what she describes as The Unbelievable Truth, she was equipped with eyes to hex pimps and pro-ab/users from 5000 km and teeth to tear another rupture in what sci-fi heads would call 'the space-time continuum'. This rupture, to reach breaking point in 2010, is not quite what we might imagine it to be. You see, there are almost exactly the same number of stars in The Milky Way as there are neurons in the humyn mind. Just as stars fall across the night sky, so too do our neurons sometimes give up light in order to create space for new knowledge. Sometimes though, their light is extinguished by cruelty, ab/use, and our despair. When this happens, the space left behind always remains a dreaming space. In 2010, the rupture does not come from another galaxy, it comes from the dreaming spaces of alienated life forms. Over an eight day period, wimmin, children, other animal species and the earth will share dreaming spaces, flying through each other's minds, sharing light where darkness once lay until our galaxies are humming together with a resonance that calls out to Hertomorrow for a break in the flatline. When this break comes, we will know it by the desperation we feel to leap over the edge. Not to die, but to leap into the unknown. What drives us will be an inner knowledge of Hertomorrow and the memory of Dreaming Resonance. Anona has come into
2001 not as an observer, but as a tiamaras. In 23AP, tiamaras roam through
Resonance and find blocks in the humming. If life forms ask to be unblocked,
tiamaras help them by calling on plants and marine animals to raise
the pitch of Soundunes. Anona's last memory of Hertomorrow is helping
a cat called Melaat whose dreaming was caught on a rift, like a boat
mast piercing the ocean's skin. As she soared over treetops with Melaat,
a ray of sunlight splintered her vision and their dreamscape became
a kaleidescope offering no clear path inward or outward. Anona chose
to travel inward and has come out into our time. Through her travel,
she has gathered the rage of the Feminist Firewall years and an irrepressible
desire to disarm white and male supremacy. She cannot believe that she
is living as Lady Castrata Vagina Dentata in the same century that sees
her birth as Anona the tiamaras. She has arrived to open Dreaming Resonance
with ferocious feminism. |
