SIR EDWARD ('WEARY') DUNLOP DISPLAY

PHOTO WITH PERMISSION - SUE EBURY, AUTHOR OF THE BOOK: 'WEARY - THE LIFE OF SIR EDWARD DUNLOP'

Sir Edward Dunlop was a distinguished surgeon, and W.W.II hero, particularly in P.O.W. Camps.
A five minute DVD also displays more information about Sir Edward.
Memorabilia from his Benalla childhood and youth gives background to the man and his life which are commemorated by the splendid statue in the Benalla Botanical Gardens.
Not to be missed is this magnificent and moving memorial to Sir Edward Dunlop, located in the Benalla Botanical Gardens, just 5 minutes walk from the Benalla Costume & Pioneer Museum.

This is one of only three memorials to Sir Edward in Australia, the others being in Melbourne and Canberra.
