The Benalla Costume and Kelly Museum has been fortunate to win several awards:

2008

The Public Records Office of Victoria: “Sir Rupert Hamer Award for Archival Care”.

2009

‘Herald Sun’ People’s Choice Award in the category ‘Best Museum Experience’ – a winning tie with the RAAF Museum.

2009

The ‘Click’ Volunteer Museum Award in the category “Exhibitions and Public Programs”.

2010

Premier’s Volunteering Awards, in the category: ‘Community Volunteering New Technology Award – Regional’ – an award made jointly to

the Benalla Costume & Pioneer Museum and the Benalla Visitor Information Centre.

2011

Victorian Museums Award: TASHCO Systems Award for Volunteer Run Museums for the Project ‘Proud to be Part of Our Community’.
