How To Help

Become A Rescuer or Transporter

  • Wildlife rescue involves 'catching' wildlife and delivering it to a vet or carer.
  • Transporters just deliver the animals without having to handle them.

These roles each give you the opportunity to come into close contact with our wildlife and make an impact not only on their individual lives but also that of their species.

Anyone can become a rescuer if:

  • You are over 18 years of age (for insurance reasons)
  • Hold a current drivers' license
  • Can nominate a time each week or each month to be available for the rescue roster.
  • You become a member of AWARE
  • You complete AWARE rescuer training.

Foster Care

Become a foster carer and enjoy this incredibly rewarding experience.

Fundraising

We are constantly fundraising to help pay for equipment, food and medical supplies. Can you help us with:

  • Grant writing
  • Run your own fundraising event
  • Placing your name on a barbecue roster
  • Approach businesses for donations or sponsorship of equipment, uniforms etc.
  • Ask us for a Ritchies Community Benefits Card. These pre-registered cards donate 1% of your purchase price to
AWARE each time you shop at Ritchies
  • Join our fundraising committee and become involved in many more projects.
