Welcome

To the Australian Wildlife Assistance Rescue and Education website. A not for profit wildlife rescue group dedicated to helping sick, injured and orphaned wildlife around the Mornington Peninsula through to the Melbourne city area.

Why Rescue Wildlife?

Australia is home to many unique and beautiful birds and animals. It is important that we protect the species we are lucky enough to have because if Australians don't protect their own wildlife, who will?

By rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife we ensure genetic diversity. This means there will be a wider range of genes to pass on to future generations which will help the survival of that species.

Just because a species is 'common' now, does not mean it will be in the future!
