Bairnsdale Production Line Theatre Inc. - The Bairnsdale Theatre Group - is a non-profit organisation, staffed entirely by volunteers.

Originally formed in 1989 with a cabaret called "NIGHTS on BROADWAY" this was so well received that a repeat show was produced in 1990.

This was followed in 1991 with "ROBINSON CRUSOE": 1992 with "OKLAHOMA"; 1993 "THE MIKADO"; 1994 with "SLEEPING BEAUTY". In 1995 we played "TRIAL by JURY" in the BAIRNSDALE COURTHOUSE and in the next two years we played "LITTLE SHOP of HORRORS", and "MY FAIR LADY".

For several reasons the group lapsed into a decline until it was revived about four years ago. Since then, BTG has produced three plays and four musicals, including Gilbert and Sullivan operas and "The Importance of being Ernest", and "Arsenic and old lace.".

"THE MIKADO" in 2002, was seen by nearly 3,000 people.

"MOVE OVER MRS. MARKHAM" in 2003, was judged to be a great success.

"THE MERRY WIDOW" in 2003, was adjudged to be an outstanding musical show.

"CAMELOT" in 2004 was staged over 5 nights and two matinees, and was well received.

Finding that people are wanting a change from the usual run of TV shows and wanting to know they "have had a night out", we have found wonderful support from fantastic audiences.

The composition of BTG changes with each year as the younger members move on to study and other committments while the olders members just get too old! If you are interested in joining us click here or drop us a line.
