Nigel Smart took part in a piece of football history when he appeared in the Adelaide Crows first line up as an AFL side in 1991. He is surely one of the leagues best backman playing the game today, but at the same time a very versitile player, capable of playing in most positions. A common accurence is when a feirce Smart breaks through the pack, ball in hand and with a thumping kick delivers it down field. In the short time that the Crows have been part of the AFL, Nigel Smart and his club have taken part in two Premierships (back-to-back). Smart is definatly a class player who seem's to improve just that little bit more each year.
