Update:
"Barringo Reserve" now included in the Macedon Regional Park.
Control and management of the Barringo Reserve changed in October 2006 when the Macedon Regional Park was officially proclaimed.
The crown land section that includes the picnic grounds and toilet has now become part of the Macedon Regional Park and control has passed from the Macedon Ranges Shire Council to Parks Victoria.
The fenced section south of Shannons road including the Macedon Pony Club licence area is owned by the Macedon Ranges Shire Council and will continue under council control.

[Note: "Barringo Wildlife Reserve/Park" was a private/commercial wildlife park/tea rooms with an entrance at the north end of Barringo Road, approximately 1km north of Barringo Reserve. ]
After October 2006
1."Barringo Reserve (Parks Vic)" = Barringo Picnic Grounds/Toilet (extending along on the North side of Shannon's Road - Now managed by Parks Victoria as part of the Macedon Regional Park. Note: This area of crown land is connected to other parts of the Regional Park by crown land extending along the Barringo Creek .
2."Barringo Council Reserve (Macedon Ranges Council)"
(Comprising Macedon Pony Club licence area and the Grasstree Nature Conservation Area)
= The fenced council land South of Shannon's Road. This area extends up the hill beyond the part used under licence by the Macedon Pony Club.
