Manager's name is Rebecca. Great position apart from the traffic noise. The park is getting a little run down in parts. Roomy sites. Average staff friendliness, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money ($182 2A per week, powered, off-peak season). Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is poor, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, very few concrete annex slabs, very few sites are shaded. Good laundry, no rec room, camp kitchen, dump point, no wireless internet available, you can use your mobile wireless. Noisy, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, too many permanents. Basic playground in average condition. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families.
Likes: Roomy sites for large rigs
Dislikes: On busy road so traffic noise is continuous

We booked 2 sites as far back as July and cancelled 1 in Sept as our friends couldn't go. When we arrived the sites we booked were now units and they said no worries we will move you to another site. They gave us a site next to the new units and we asked what the boundaries of this site were. After we set up went to town and did some shopping on our return found a couple setting up a tent on our site next to our door of our camper were we parked our car and plugged in our fridge. When told by us to move its our site then told no manager said it was ok. Then he appeared and I said this is not on and he said they were fully booked and they had to set up there. Not happy about it but could do nothing about it. They offered an extension cord to plug our fridge in and to park on driveway of unit as no one was in them yet we did. On new year's night we went to families house for festivities on our return at 2 in the morning found a truck parked next to our camper as well. Now went to office in the morning and asked for it to be moved and was told very rudely it would be later. I stormed out slamming the door and I was followed out by lady from office and asked did I have a problem with that so I told her I did and with the way the park was run in general she then set to abuse me in very colourful language and said that the truck was now staying there. After 2 or 3 hrs it was moved when we checked out early because we had had enough, asked for a refund as we didn't have full site and the way we were treated and then told we don't do refunds for any reason at all. So if you're considering staying there don't. Very unfriendly staff, bad staff response to complaints, staff helped us at the site. Price was as expected, reasonable value for money. Amenity number would not cope in peak times, are close to all sites, cleanliness was average, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good, hot water was usually adequate but not when busy. Inadequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, average sized sites, shade to some sites. Basic laundry, no rec room. Noisy, claustrophobic park, plenty of shade. No bbqs.
Likes: Good sites if for 1 couple not extras put on your site
Dislikes: Managers attitude to complaints, couldn't care less

Pets at manager's discretion. Very friendly staff, staff offered tourist advice, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Price was lower than expected, very good value for money ($20 2A 4C, powered, peak season). Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people. Adequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, good night lighting, average sized sites, concrete annex slabs to some sites, shade to most sites, adequate taps close by. Good laundry, no rec room. Quiet, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, family/friendly atmosphere, too many permanents. No bbqs, no playground, no pool. Suitable for few days, well maintained park.
Likes: Right on river that is dammed into pool. Beautiful shaded grassy area to sit and relax. Really serene.
Dislikes: Trains one side, Hwy the other but not too annoying. Didn't bother us too much after the first night. The showers are a bit tatty and could do with a revamp as the water just goes everywhere. Clean though and pretty satisfactory for the price.

Coming from the N just follow the signs to Timperley Road, Bunbury. Ph: 08 9721 3800 or 1800 113 800. BIG4 member. No pets allowed.

The shower nozzles could do with some maintenance or updated as the one I was in sprayed against the wall and could not be adjusted, so had to squash into the corner and get the spray bouncing of the wall. The other I tried, the water pooled in the dry change area and did not run off. There are other amenity blocks on site to choose from. Friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money ($33.00 2A per night, powered, off-peak season). We paid $30.15 because of BIG4 Discount. Amenity number would not cope in peak times, are close to all sites, were clean, condition is reasonable, water pressure is bad, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Inadequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, very few annex slabs, shade to most sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, camp kitchen, dump point, secure entry, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5). Quiet, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, too many permanents. Clean UC gas bbq (free), congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Good playground in good condition. Clean pool. Suitable for few days.
Likes: Grounds were well kept although some sites had patches of dirt due to drought. Close to Bunbury, but far enough away from the busy town
Dislikes: Nothing, apart from the shower nozzles
Parking: The far left boom gate, should get a couple of rigs, but plenty of room on the road
Added Touches: Hair dryer in the amenities
Local Information: Dolphin Discovery Centre. 7 day Farmers Market stocks mostly local produce, really fresh and good prices. Lookout town just N of CBD

Staff were extremely friendly but management were extremely unfriendly. Average staff response to complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Koombana Dve. From S (Bussell Hwy), follow bypass road around Bunbury, then continue straight ahead when South Western Hwy turns right towards Perth. At next roundabout where Old Coast Road turns right continue straight ahead into Koombana Dve. Park is a couple of kms further along on the left. From Perth, turn right at Bunbury Bypass instead of left towards Busselton and continue as above. Ph: 08 9791 3900 or 1800 003 367. BIG4 member. No pets allowed.

Large, well maintained park situated between Koombana Bay and the Leschenault Inlet. Easy walk to the town centre. There are a large number of very tidy permanents, plus powered and unpowered sites, ensuites and cabins. The 2 amenity blocks are clean, well maintained and in excellent condition. There is a pool, tennis court, jumping pillow and a cafe on site (11am-3pm). Internet available. The only downside to this park is that the powered sites are situated alongside Koombana Drive which is very busy between the hours of 5.30am and 7.00pm.

We stayed on a powered site at the end of summer - there was a pegged down green shadecloth and as the receptionist said "whatever grass is left". Fair enough, they're honest and it was a hot dry summer. Shadecloth was huge and ample for our needs. The rest of the park is manicured so assume there would be grass during cooler and less popular months. The powered sites are located backing onto Koombana Drive, which we thought might be noisy. It was during the day but not overnight, so didn't interfere with sleep. Huge level sites, wide as well as deep, and great shade from nice safe peppermint trees. Amenities nice and clean, but no footpath from rear sites so you tiptoed around the sites behind the amenity block or walk around the road a fair way. They did leave those sites vacant until last, it seemed, but it's still a bit of a pain if the place is busy. Ensuite sites looked nice, long but narrow - unpowered camping was nicely grassed and reasonable shade, the camp kitchen was adjacent to their amenity block so we didn't check it out. Tennis court was free but hire charge for equipment; pool was small but nice and backed onto a cafe. Games room and TV room in that area as well. Jumping pillow was in a 'village green' area, a huge lawn for all to enjoy, with seats under Moreton Bay figs and so on. Nice area, though the pillow seemed to die halfway through our stay, not sure what went wrong with it. Best thing about this park is the location, strolling distance to town shops, the local microbrewery and also to the dolphin centre. Koombana Beach is across the road, a quiet beach in the bay - if you want a more exciting beach with waves you need to drive around to Back Beach. If you haven't been to Bunbury for a few years, it has improved and expanded and is worth a new look. We would definitely stay here again.

Powered sites are on main road and would be noisy, we had an ensuite site which are at the back of the park overlooking the Leschenault Inlet and were quiet. All ensuite sites are hard surface and drive through. Huge ensuite, with two separate rooms. First room has laundry tub serving as basin, huge bench plus several cupboards, but mirror is not over basin. Second room has toilet and huge shower. Sites are narrow so we could not open our awning fully, vans shorter than our 20'6" would probably be alright. Toilet kept running which was not fixed during our week there despite us informing them twice. Bad staff response to complaints, staff offered tourist advice, staff explained park layout and facilities. $41 2A per night, ensuite, shoulder season. We paid $36.90 because of BIG4 discount. Good rec room, camp kitchen, kiosk, dump point, secure entry, van parking, book swap available, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5). Quiet, open & roomy park, a few permanents. Clean pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, park is considered kid-safe.
Likes: Park is walking distance to town, shops and restaurants.
Dislikes: Ensuite floor is crazy paving, which is rough, plus there are cockroaches. Laundry closest to ensuite area had only 2 washing machines and one rotary clothes line.
Added Touches: Tennis courts, bouncy pillow, hire bikes.

Average staff friendliness, average staff response to complaints Price was higher than expected, reasonable value for money ($40.00 1A C9 per night, powered, peak season). Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to only some sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, hot water was usually adequate but not when busy, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, large sites, concrete annex slabs to most sites, shade to most sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, kiosk, dump point, van parking. Noisy, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, too many permanents. Clean gas bbq (free), congenial bbq area atmosphere, seating provided at bbq. No playground. Clean pool is open to the sun, kid-safe pool area, toddlers catered for. Suitable for overnighter, suitable for families, well maintained park
Likes: Very clean amenities.
Dislikes: It is on a very busy road. Don't expect much rest. The park has a camp kitchen, but it is not located in the camping grounds, rather over where the self-contained units are. So, it isn't very useful at all. BBQ's are not undercover and very little lighting around BBQ areas and throughout the whole park. The overall quality of the park is excellent, but the traffic noise ruins it and would prevent us from staying there again.
Added Touches: Jumping pillow for the kids.
Local Information: Located close to the Dolphin Discovery Centre, town and beach.

This park is split into 3 parts along Marine Terrace - 2 caravan and 1 cabin park. The manager's unit is separate from all 3 which was quite confusing. We were in No. 3 caravan park which is mainly for 'Clubs' or 'Groups'. All 3 parks are close to town, the waterfront and the Jetty. None of the parks are fenced. Clean and modern amenities. Soap is provided but no hand dryers. No pool or playground. Basic camp kitchen and BBQ's. Some of the BBQ's were unused and covered with leaves. No pool or playground. Likes: We were in Number 3 Park, which is the overflow part of the Kookaburra Caravan Park. So comments are only for that section
Dislikes: We scored the town show, which was just behind the caravan park, which meant lots of people and lots of cars everywhere, not the parks fault. Also the park has a very noisy neighbour who likes loud music, the management have reported this problem to the police.
Parking: Small bay over the road from the office

I like this park, second time I have been back again. Nice location and nice sites. I was taken to my site and given an easy site to get into, but could move to another site closer to the amenities if I wanted to. Each site has green matting down, instead of concrete pads and a TV aerial to each site also along with water. I wanted to check out a bit later and then take the van down to look around, but was told to keep the van there and come back when I'm ready to hook up. Pleasant park, not noisy, no fences around it, but I didn't mind. Very friendly staff, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money ($22 1A per night, ensuite, off-peak season). Amenity number would not cope in peak times, are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, no sites with concrete annex slabs, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Council owned, this park is, in actuality, 3 parks: Park 1, where we stayed is a basic park, open to the street on three sides, no security fence etc. The amenity block is at one end of the park so, if like us, you are at the other end, it's a fair walk to and fro. Amenities are bright and light and cleaned well but the number of people using them during our stay meant they soon became dirty again. Park 2, appears to be all permanents or annuals. Park 3, was unoccupied whilst we were there but the amenity block, which is in the centre of the park, was being cleaned, I presume, in readiness for the Easter Holiday. The reception and office is in a former house along Marine Terrace, halfway between parks 1 and 2. Price was reasonable ($22 per night 2A with pensioner discount.) If you use an air-conditioner it will cost you an extra $3.30 per day. Position is excellent, within easy walking distance to beach, jetty (Closed for repair at the moment) and town centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were guided to our sites and assisted on to it. Traffic around the park was quite noisy during the day but fairly quiet at night. Suitable for a few days.

The park was quite small but very nice. The office was on the other side of the road and therefore no staff in the park. Not having their presence might bother some. The possums come down at night and some that are fairly game and took apple pieces (provided by the park managers I think), curled their tails around our fingers. No microwaves in the chalets. Good management. Good value for money. Average amenities, adequate number to cater for tourists, were clean, were in good condition, water pressure was okay, there was adequate hot water. The amenity block was large and clean but no soap dispensers which I thought was odd. Good sites, sites were level, lighting at night was adequate. Laundry, late checkout allowed (up to noon), good camp kitchen, disabled facilities. Park atmosphere was okay, quiet, open and roomy park, shady park, family-friendly park. Clean UC bbq (free), lit at night, with seating provided. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, the park was well maintained, the park can be considered kid-safe.
Likes: The possums and the location.
Dislikes: No soap dispensers in the amenities.
Parking: Parking opposite the office.
Added Touches: Very close to town and the jetty, beach etc. Walking distance to all.

Very good, nicely laid out park, probably the best we have experienced in the last five weeks in WA. Lots of shady trees, well maintained grassed areas and plenty of kids activities. Nice large clean facilities, located close to most sites. Flat sites with concrete slabs. Guidance provided to get on site. Professional and friendly reception. Nice town Busselton, but unfortunately the jetty was closed for major refurbishment - likely to be opened in early 2011. Quiet park, would be very busy during school hols - but very peaceful when we were there. Would definitely come again. Suitable for a long stay. Cost $102.60 for three nights after Top Tourist Discount. At $34.20 a night - about the mark for the facilities.

This was a gorgeous park to stay in. We booked an ensuited powered site and ended up extending our stay as it was so peaceful, clean and well equipped. Reasonably priced for 2A. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great parking facilities during check in process. Room for all sized vehicles and very friendly atmosphere. Everywhere was so clean and neat it was a real pleasure to be here. No permanents as far as I could tell. The pool area was lovely, shaded and had seating. BBQs were undercover and clean. You could easily stay a month or more. There are strict rules against the use of scooters, ripsticks etc. by children within the park itself but bikes are allowed. Beach is only a short walk away and is a nice spot. All in all, a great park that I would recommend and would definitely visit again. You can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5).
Local Information: Busselton is the perfect place to base yourself to explore this region. Margaret River, Dunsborough, Yallingup, Augusta and many other areas are within 2 hours drive with loads of wineries, restaurants and interesting things to see and do. Likes: The showers and toilets are the cleanest I've seen so far on our camping trips in WA. Was a very quiet weekend so lots of space, nice pools although very cold. Huge campers kitchen with vending machines and they even have a huge games room as well (pool tables etc).
Dislikes: The kids weren't allowed to play on their scooters because they were "too dangerous" - the park was almost empty so think they could've been a bit more flexible on that one. Not as close to the beach as they say on the website. Not enough shade by the pools. Jumping pillow looked very old and wasn't even inflated whilst we were there.

Lovely well treed and grassed park easy walking distance to beach. All roads in park are sealed. Only minor quibble is the fan was hopeless and ventilation was poor. Very friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff offered tourist advice, staff explained park layout and facilities. You can also access the park from the S via Waroona but it's very poorly signposted so we missed the turn. Ph: 9538 1078. Pets allowed, on leash at all times.

Managed by Dept Environment & Conservation. This is one of Perth's favourite camping areas, being so close to the city, with pets allowed and a river that has enough water to swim in most of the year. So if you're planning to be here over the weekend, make sure you get in early to find a good campsite. There was a rumour of pre-booking during peak periods like Christmas. There are a few different camping areas within the reserve. Baden Powell is very popular for a couple of reasons: it has the best swimming and canoeing area, and; it's the first one you come to after the entry station, where the road is still bitumen. The popularity of this section means it can get pretty crowded, and with only two pit loos. Sites are numbered and all set amongst pine trees, so heaps of shade. Most sites are level. There are wood fireplace BBQs but not 'real' BBQs. Each numbered site has a picnic table. Campfires allowed approx April-October, not during fire ban summer periods, BYO wood. Day entry to the park is free, camping is $7 per adult per night. Other camping areas within the park that we like are Chuditch, where each site is set separately, there is a communal camp kitchen in the middle, 2 or 3 pit loos scattered around the sites, so some closer to the loo than others. There are drive through caravan sites here. Another good one is Nanga Mill, which is much further into the park and a bit bigger, so it is easier to get away from your fellow campers. The rest of the park after Baden Powell has gravel roads, though definitely 2WD accessible. There are maps for camping and walk trails etc at the entry station and the park roads are quite well marked, hard to get lost. Dwellingup town is 10km away, has all basic supplies plus a pub and a steam tourist railway operating some weekends. Not much chance of a decent coffee here though. If you're travelling through Waroona or Pinjarra the Pinjarra Bakery has great gourmet pies and loads of other nice things.

Lovely park, even though it was quite busy it didn't feel like you were in a full caravan park. Can't remember what we paid, think it was around $35 2A 2C PN powered. Very friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, there was adequate hot water. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, shade to most sites, kiosk, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4). Quiet, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, no permanents. Gas bbq. No playground, no pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Likes: Felt like we were camping in the bush, but with facilities. Beautiful location.
Local Information: Park has the Munda Biddi cycle trail go alongside it, Nanga is also nearby with great bushwalking, mountain biking and kayaking.

This is the best place we've been to. We have been twice since Oct 08 and have recommended it to others. It's close to Baden Powell and Nanga. If you like to walk there is the Bibblimum Track and plenty of other trails. If you like to mountain bike there is the Munda Biddi Trail, and Turner and Marrinup mountain bike trails. Very friendly staff ($120 2A 2C per night cabin). Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to all sites, cleanliness was average, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, average sized sites, adequate taps close by. Good laundry, basic rec room. Peaceful, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, family/friendly atmosphere. Clean UC gas bbq (free), congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting. No playground, no pool. Suitable for a week or more, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Likes: Set in a National Park. There was plenty of space between sites and the atmosphere was great. Stayed in tent in Oct 08 for a week and came back in Dec 08 to stay in cabin for two nights on a cycling tour. Staff were great. Very peaceful. They allow parcels to be dropped of for users of the Bibblimum track or Munda Biddi Trail. They don't allow fires in the summer which is nice to not smell smoke all day.
Dislikes: Speed humps were a little high for our car.
Local Information: Probably the best town we've been to in the SW. Visitors centre is great. Go on the steam train in the school hols (except summer when it's a diesel train).
Roads: Great roads in and out for both driving and bicycle riding.

Manager's name is Barbara and Tony Treoger. You don't see much of Tony, except on the end of a lawn mower, but Barb runs this park with an iron fist, covered with a velvet glove. On entry, you are supplied with a plate of scones, jam and cream for your $25.00 powered site fee. The park has quite a lot of permanents, and a few pickers, but heaven help any of them that upset Barb's tourists. The amenities are old but clean (Barb cleans them at least 4 times per day), but the water saving shower heads are not the best type available. Sites do not have slabs, but are nicely shaded. Water, power and sullage are conveniently situated. Telstra 3G is available, but TV reception is "iffy". No wireless internet. Camp Kitchen, BBQ, Rec Room and TV room is combined, and is basic, but clean. No pool, no playground. It is worth a visit, from 1 day to a week, just to experience the manageress, Barb's hospitality. Very friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff offered tourist advice, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money ($25.00 2A per night, powered).
Likes: The wonderful enthusiasm of the manageress, Barbara.

Manager's name is Barbara & John Troeger. Upon arrival we had a very warm welcome by Barbara. She was busy with other customers so we were told to find a site and she would catch up with us. Within 10 mins Barbara was at the van apologising for not being available immediately and also to ask when we would like our scones. The park is mainly permanents and backpackers but there are some tourist sites. The amenities were very clean and well maintained but could do with an upgrade. The bbq and camp kitchen were one unit but clean, this area also doubles as the rec room. The sites are grass and sand and being in a bush setting have a large amount of leaves, but the park is certainly suitable for two or three days to enable visitors to explore the area. Very unfriendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money ($25 2A per night, powered, off-peak season). Amenity number would not cope in peak times, are close to all sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes or 5th wheelers, most sites are shaded, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, no rec room, disabled facilities, dump point, wireless internet is available, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5). Peaceful, open and roomy, plenty of shade, too many permanents. Clean UC gas bbq (free), congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground, no pool. Suitable for a few days, suitable for families, park is considered kid-safe.

Owner/Manager's name is Barbara. We went to this park with a caravan club for three nights, small discount off (about $2 a day I think) for club members, simply loved the place and location/local area. Would not hesitate to go again. John Holland construction had their own caravans and amenity blocks on site but were doing some work on railway in the area. Workers out most of the day, were very well behaved and quiet, suspect Owner/Manager ran a tight ship and they knew the rules. Not sure how long they will be at the caravan park, but found them very friendly and cooperative. Very friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff offered tourist advice, van parking assistance provided by staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Price was as expected, very good value for money ($22 2A per night, powered). Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, large sites, no sites with concrete annex slabs, shade to most sites, poor water quality, adequate taps close by. Good laundry, no rec room, late checkout allowed (up to noon), good camp kitchen, kiosk. Peaceful, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, family/friendly atmosphere, a few permanents. UC gas, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground, no pool. Suitable for a week or more, well maintained park.
Likes: Hands on park Manager/Owner, could not do enough and visited occupants early evening to ask if everything is ok. Close to town and Harvey Dam, other tourist attractions, excellent tourist bureau and info at park.
Parking: Pull off for caravans to book in, massive parking area on grassed area outside the gates as well suitable for caravans or other vehicles. No tight turns etc.
Added Touches: Not sure about individuals, but for clubs, owner supplied free scones, cream and jam to all on arrival, also made up a beautiful platter of finger food free of charge for the club Happy Hour.
Local Information: Fantastic Tourist Bureau on main highway with great toilets and shop, helpful staff. Harvey Dam about 1km off main Hwy, amphitheatre, BBQ's, gardens, lake, gazebo's, kids swings, drive to top of dam to car park and walk across dam wall, absolutely highlight, Cheese Factory short distance down highway, nice historic hotel in town, great fish and chip shop and other shops, Big Orange lookout, winery, many other things to see and do.

Logue Brook Dam Road, 15 kms NE of Harvey. Harvey is on the South Western Hwy about 35 kms N of Bunbury. This caravan park is located right next to Logue Brook Dam which sits on top of the Darling Scarp NE of Harvey. Access is up a pretty steep incline but is worth the drive as the park is set in bushland adjacent to the dam and is very pretty. Ph: 08 9733 5402. Pets allowed, at manager's discretion, on leash at all times.

I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that the park has new owners and is under new management. The park has been cleaned up and is being upgraded at the moment. The new owners are Peter & Denise Douglas and Steve & Lee-Anne Brown. They live here at the park and run it on a daily basis. The park has 3 amenity blocks that are cleaned twice daily and there is also a rubbish run that is done twice daily in off-peak times and up to 4 times daily during peak periods. The dam is closed for skiing as the water levels are too low, allowing people to swim and canoe at their leisure. They still allow dogs in the park but they are must be on a leash at all times and it is enforced. The boom gates are operating and they get put down at 10.00pm. The laundry has been scrubbed and cleaned. They also have 4 cabins that sleep up to 6 people in each; you need to supply your own linen. There is a fully functional kitchen in each cabin. There is a park home that has its own ensuite but you still need to supply your own linen. The cafe is now open and fully functional where you can sit on the balcony overlooking the dam and have fish and chips, hamburgers, hot dogs and Devonshire teas.

Go anywhere else but here. Price was higher than expected, poor value for money ($30 2A 2C per night unpowered). Inadequate number of amenities, are close to most sites, were dirty, condition is poor, water pressure is bad, there was inadequate hot water. Inadequate number of tourist sites, some unlevel sites, poor night lighting, average sized sites. Basic laundry, no rec room. Noisy, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, family/friendly atmosphere. Dogs everywhere off lead around the park even in the toilets. No playground, no pool.
Dislikes: Everything - only stayed the night cos we had already paid. Should have camped in the bush. Felt cleaner before using the showers. Arrived on New Years Day and it didn't look like the toilets had been cleaned for the past year. Dogs were supposed to be on lead but it wasn't enforced. As cycle tourists we paid full price for a site but were accomodated in an access area to the toilets and had other tourists walking past our tents and through our camping area all night. When we bought milk we were given an opened container and didn't get the full litre. On booking we weren't provided with a map of the park. I would by-pass this park and camp on DEC managed campsites the pit toilets were cleaner. They only sold bread, milk and ice-cream - no other food. No camp kitchen. Laundry was swarming with flies. Faeces spread on the walls of the toilets. Really hot day - over 35 degrees yet fires were allowed. Lots of hoons in speed boats doing laps of Logue Brook Dam from sunrise to sunset leaving no safe places to swim.

Very friendly welcome and great assistance in getting on site (which was a bit tight to get on to with our 27 footer, so the help was appreciated). Staff explained the layout and helped set up without overstaying their welcome. Amenities we used were older but in very good condition - nice paint job and cleaned well. Showers had water savers but worked well with plenty of hot water. Lots of shade. Mozzies very friendly. No dump point but the staff had no problems with environmental friendly waste going down any dunny (just chose a quiet time when they weren't in use). A quiet park with good camp kitchens/bar-b-ques and well maintained grounds. Not a five star park, but ticked all the boxes for us. Quite some distance from the main town but not an inconvenience - a big shopping centre just down the road. The canal and dolphin cruise was a good way to spend an hour or so and the trombolites (about 40 mins away) are worth a drive. This park and the town are worthy of 3/7 days stay. Might get a bit hectic over summer, but during October it was great. Reasonable value for money - we stayed three nights with the third night half price. Two adults on a large cement slab for about $85 for the three nights. Some bore water taps throughout the park, but used for watering the lawns. We were connected to the mains. The area is close to the river and some bush - so keep an eye out for snakes in the warmer months.

A quiet, well-maintained park quite a way out of town. If approaching from Mandurah you have to go past the park, on your right, and make a U turn. From Pinjarra, no problem, it s on your left. At least half of the sites are taken by permanents/annuals but most of them look well maintained (some quite attractive). Staff are friendly and helpful. We were assisted on to site and also assisted in unhitching and setting up (A first for us!). The park is green and attractive with a number of mature trees and shrubs. Most sites are concrete slabs, many of them double size so you have a nice level area under your awning. It might be a bit difficult to erect a standard sort of annexe though. There are two amenity blocks, each with laundry, which are light and bright. Shower cubicles are fairly large but shower heads are water savers. There is a pool and spa and, next to them a covered lounge area with basket chairs, a coffee machine and soft-drink dispenser. Down the back of the park, next to the camping area is a large camp-kitchen/BBQ area. No dump point. Ideal for an extended stay.

Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to only some sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, dry change area, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Inadequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, concrete annex slabs to some sites, shade to most sites, poor water quality, adequate taps close by. Likes: Handy to supermarket. Estuary frontage access for boats. Easy access to Mandurah and surrounds.
Dislikes: Many permanent dwellings used as holiday homes. Most are old and unsightly. The water provided at many of the sites is bore water and is quite unpleasant. Drinking water must be carted from taps some distance from many sites. Were not advised that the site water was bore water when booking in. Some sites in new area apparently have scheme water available.

Lightly grassed level sites some with concrete slabs, shady. Inadequate placement of water and power outlets. Very friendly staff. Myalup Beach Caravan Park is a nice spot for a family if you can handle an excellent location coupled with a yahoo atmosphere at times. Younger families recommended. Friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Price was as expected, reasonable value for money ($42 2A 2C per night). Paper towels/dryer provided in amenities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, average sized sites, drive-through sites, hard to negotiate into site. Basic laundry, basic rec room. Noisy, claustrophobic park, not enough shade, too many permanents. Dogs sighted but not many. Dirty wood bbq (free). Good playground in average condition. No pool. Suitable for few days, suitable for families.
Likes: Entire park linked by fully sealed asphalt road which made it possible for kids to ride bikes, etc when at site. 8 km/h speed limit heavily signed. Friendly semi-permanents.
Dislikes: Very tight roads, one way access everywhere. Quad bikes and plenty of them. Amenity blocks could go from good to great with a little more TLC.
Parking: Limited slip bays outside, would make it tough with caravan.
Local Information: Myalup Beach is fantastic, swimming beach fenced off. Several kms of beach for 4WD's and excellent supply of 'bread and butter' fish up the beach.
Roads: Myalup Beach Road is signed at 80km/h but that is optimistic considering the bumps and dips and narrowness of road, trailer and car wandered constantly.

This is a basic park, glad I was only staying one night. It is mainly full of permanents with a few sites for tourists. You are taken to the tourist area which is about 200m by 30m and told to park anywhere, but there isn't many power poles there. The sites were mainly dirt, the amenities were a long walk away but there was an outback dunny you could use. There was a BBQ/camp kitchen nearby. I wouldn't go back there but stay at Mandurah next time. You couldn't hear the noise of the traffic but there was a bit of noise from the permanents. Friendly staff, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Poor value for money ($29 1A per night, off-peak season). Amenities are close to only some sites. Inadequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, good night lighting, no sites with concrete annex slabs, shade to some sites, drive-through sites. Plenty of shade, too many permanents. Office hours are from 1pm to 5pm weekdays - very unusual for a tourist park. The park was advertised in the tourist information picked up from the tourist information centre. We tried to ring before going with no answer but we went anyway due to reports on Badger's site. It was Sunday about 1pm and the office was closed. One of the tenants approached us and indicated it'd be ok to find a site and setup and fix the manager up the next day. The manager arrived about 9am the next day and asked us what we were doing there and we would have to move. He said we'd have to move 2 spaces up even though there were many vacant sites, with the reason being that 'it's just the way it is'. He said we'd need to come to the office between 1 and 5 to check which site or if he had a site, even though he was told we'd only be staying a few days. He then went on to ask how long the van is and said he would have said no as they weren't allowed to take 21' vans, but backed down when I pointed out a van 4 sites up that was obviously longer. We politely declined, paid the $32 for the previous night, even though we had no access to the amenities. We were told the new slabs had been setup for permanents. The park, while tidy, was bare and overpriced and well away from Perth, The surrounding area is not pleasant, despite being close to the water. The grain handler is adjacent to the part and could be heard all night. The new slabs were double slabs but grossly uneven and we needed to level the van. Lawns were long and unkempt making the park and sites look untidy. I'd avoid this park at all costs. The manager was rude and arrogant, although I understand he was filling in for the owner. No tourist help offered whatsoever. We moved up to Karrinyup Resort on the northern beaches, which was $31 and couldn't do enough - lovely park, beautiful ponds with ducks and birds, and pool and spa, and nice grassed campsite. Very unfriendly staff, bad staff response to complaints Price was higher than expected, poor value for money ($32 2A per night, powered, off-peak season). Amenities are close to only some sites. Inadequate number of tourist sites, mostly unlevel sites, good night lighting, small sites, concrete annex slabs to some sites, no sites are shaded, hard to negotiate into site, adequate taps close by. This is a private corporation owned park with a manager on site which has just been upgraded. Still has a lot of permanents but the new caravan park is separate with about 27 in total sites and a new amenities block. A lot of the new sites have concrete pads. The whole park has been rewired. The park is situated just across the road from a beautiful sandy beach, (there is a public toilet/shower block next to the beach) which is N facing so no waves, perfect for children, dogs are allowed on beach. Cabins are being built very soon and also a recreation room. Friendly staff, staff offered tourist advice, staff explained park layout and facilities. Previously a predominantly "permanents" park, the size has been nearly doubled, all the extra for tourists, mostly powered sites, some camping, only about 25% currently open for use, however the remainder is already all grassed and has power, retic, sullage and concrete pads underway. Whole park has been upgraded, all roads hot-mix bitumen, concrete kerbed, existing area has a modern amenity block to match the new one in the new section, all areas are very complete and good grass cover. Existing area amenity block also has fully grassed "park" and children's playground adjacent. Also continues to allow dogs (great!). Men's toilet section has individual "waterless" urinals - you cannot smell a thing! Plenty of trees/shade in existing area of park, yet to be established in most of new section - great large trees in proposed camping areas. No swimming pool required, swimming beach and grassed park with facilities is just across the road from the caravan park. Very friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Price was as expected, very good value for money ($32.00 2A per night, powered, peak season). Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, large sites, concrete annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, disabled facilities, dump point, van parking. Peaceful, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, family/friendly atmosphere, a few permanents. Clean UC gas bbq (free), key control, congenial bbq area atmosphere. Good playground in good condition. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, well maintained park.
Likes: Basic caravan park with modern high quality facilities (no bells & whistles not required by many caravanners)
Dislikes: None, not even the fan noise from the nearby wheat/grain handling bin site, it is not loud, and switches to a quieter mode in the evening through to morning.
Parking: Space for one vehicle and van inside entrance, plenty more space on large road verge outside entrance.
Local Information: Great coastal bay swimming beaches for family, particularly children - no surf here. Rockingham is the city serving the western naval presence for Australia, at nearby Garden Island, visible from the caravan park.

Park is at least 50% permanents, although the tourist sites are mostly grouped together so the permanents don't impact so much. Large amenities blocks, with good size showers, but no shower curtains and the dry area had a slope away from the wet area, so any drips or splashes immediately ran through the dry area and out across the common area. Basin taps only worked while being pressed and then whooshed out, which makes it really hard to wash your hands properly and even harder to clean your teeth. Barbecues were in good condition and cleaned daily, but weren't as hot as they should be, you wouldn't want to try and cook a good steak. Sites were concrete with concrete annex slab, but ours at least was all broken up, making it very uneven. Friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff offered tourist advice, staff explained park layout and facilities. Tent area also has larger camp kitchen and rainwater tank (non-potable water). Great spot in Spring for orchid lovers. Good value for money ($14 2A per night). We paid $10 because of Seniors discount. Amenity number would not cope in peak times, are close to all sites, cleanliness was average, condition is reasonable. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, good camp kitchen, mobile wireless not available. Peaceful, open & roomy park, plenty of shade. Dirty gas bbq (free), congenial bbq area atmosphere. Suitable for few days, suitable for families, park is considered kid-safe.
Likes: Well laid out for vans. Beautiful place in Spring for orchid hunting. Birdlife.
Local Information: Within the Dryandra Woodland with good drives and good walks both short and long. Barna Mia animal sanctuary worth a visit - tours at night 4 nights per week, need to book with DEC. $14 per adult.
Roads: Mainly bitumen but depending on direction travelled from, some dirt which can be slippery after rain.

Williams Motel & Shady Acre Caravan Park, Williams
Click here for park details on My Park List
165kms S of Perth. At S end of town, in a triangle of main roads to various country towns. Ph: 08 9885 1192. Pets allowed.

The caravan park belongs to the owner of the roadhouse which has the motel and caravan park behind it. This caravan park is on gravel and has some permanents and on site vans. Some shade from gum trees on some sites. Being behind a roadhouse and on a major bitumen road junction to several country towns it is very noisy and large trucks travel near the caravan park and also stop/refuel at roadhouse at all hours. One side also has a council depot which has trucks and heavy machinery moving in and out during council working hours (early morning to early afternoon), also workers there "grog on" noisily in the afternoon and early evening after they finish work. Roadhouse had usual hot food/drinks and other items which were adjoined to the park. No unruly locals living in town, unlike Narrogin, one of the neighbouring towns. Very friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money ($25 1A, powered, off-peak season). Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, were very clean, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water. Mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with concrete annex slabs, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, no rec room. Noisy, open & roomy park, not enough shade, a few permanents. UC gas bbq, dismal bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No pool. Ok for an overnighter if a quieter town caravan park cannot be reached due to tiredness or distance.
Likes: Close to roadhouse food outlet (close walking distance...in front of motel/caravan park).
Dislikes: Very noisy and dusty, truck route for supplying nearby towns etc. On a road junction to several towns.
Parking: Good parking area near office.
Roads: Good bitumen highways.
